These are the major companies which have generated employment for a number of Indians in the outsourcing industry. You must be wondering whom I am talking about- these are Accenture and Genpact which as per a study have emrged out as one of the top BPO employers in India. As of now Accenture has a headcount of 19,000 whereas Genpact employs 19,700 people.
The study was conducted by Dun & Bradstreet and around two hundred companies were studied. If we take into account the Indian outsourcing industry then captive outsourcing comprises of 65% of the total ITeS and BPO exports from India whereas third party operations constitutes the rest. The top ten countries command a thirty percent share in the business.
Companies are looking forward to expand into India and it is expected that it would lead to the generation of further employment for the people of the country.
