Affiliated Computer Systems, a provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions and a fortune 500 company has signed a five year outsourcing deal with fast food major Burger King Corp. Under this contract ACS which has operations in nearly one hundred countries will manage the global restaurant leader%u2019s global enterprise server hosting and other computing requirements around the clock.
The solution from the Dalas based ACS will also include system management, systems engineering, print and mail services, and other end-user computing. ACS will also deliver ancillary low-end services like monitoring, help desk, and problem and change management.
By describing it a multimillion dollar deal (no one exactly knows the exact value of the contract) ACS’s Mike O’Hara says “We will leverage data centers both domestically and abroad to develop and maintain a world-class enterprise landscape...Our customized solutions will quickly boost service levels and decrease costs to facilitate Burger King’s continued success in the global marketplace.”
