BPO is a sector which presents innumerable opportunities for fresh graduates and in this growing sector there is a huge demand for qualified professionals. Countries such as Brazil, China and Mexico are also into business process outsourcing but India has an edge over them due to their big pool of skilled labor.
Around 1.7 lac people were employed in 2003 in the BPO sector in India and the figure is expected to touch 4.7 lac by the end of 2006. This indicates that the BPO sector is thriving in India and there are a number of opportunities for their large pool of employment. This sector would surely help in lowering the unemployment figures in the country.
