Amid protests from Unions BBC signed two outsourcing deals with Belfast based Capita. Capita which already provides customer service solutions to BBC under the first deal will field complaints and receive information and feedback from public. The second one is more of back office administration in nature and the agency will take care of payroll, recruitment, occupational health and other ancillary jobs.
Under the terms and conditions of the deal approximately more than 100 employees of BBC will be transferred to Capita. Good times keep rolling for Capita as it only last December bagged a £300 million deal with Zurich’s UK Life operations.
