Holly - Holly Area Schools administration had been looking at the option of outsourcing custodial services for a number of years but after the retirement of their two employees they are studying that option again.
With the retirement of their two custodians during summer this has presented an opportunity to the district to once again look at the option of outsourcing. They thought that rather than calling back their laid off employees it would be good if they looked at the option of outsourcing.
Superintendent Kent Barnes commented that the option of outsourcing had been discussed during the budget meetings in the last two years and the idea of privatization was not a recent one.
