India is raking in moolah!! Aviva is moving a thousand jobs to India in order to gain from the benefits of outsourcing and this is just one of the large lists of companies who are outsourcing their work to India. A number of UK firms have outsourced close to tens of thousands of job to India which includes companies working in the region of airlines, banks and telecommunication.
The IT, finance, HR and administration departments have outsourced to India and not to mention various call centers for whom India is a popular destination. What these companies gain is in the cost which is fraction of what these companies pay out to their employees in their home country. The companies are able to save around forty percent in expenses which ensures a lot of savings for them.
Companies such as Barclays, BT, Lloyds, NTL and RAC have already transferred jobs to India, Even though there has been a lot of criticism of these jobs still the outsourcing trend has not stopped.
