NASSCOM has defended that India was a safe place for outsourcing after a British television channel carried out a sting operation on call center fraud in India. NASSCOM president Kiran Karnik stated that security was the number one concern for India.
He further stated that investigations carried out by Britain’s Banking Codes Standards Board of Indian call centers found out that customer data in India met the same level of security as that followed in U.K.
NASSCOM is determined to protect the interests of Indian outsourcing industry and investigations are being carried in this regard and it has also requested the television channel for their support.
