The entire world is looking at India as the most sought after place for Knowledge Process Outsourcing. It is believed that over the next five years around 2,50,000 jobs would be generated by this industry. A research carried out by Kelly services and Asset management reveals that the growth in the KPO segment would be at a higher rate than the BPO segment. The BPO segment is poised to grow at a rate of 25% whereas the KPO segment is expected to grow at an overwhelming rate of 45%.



The report also says that approximately two third of the world business of KPO will come to India and India would generate an employment of around 2,50,000 jobs in the next five years. As the KPO segment requires a higher degree of domain/technical skill, India is expected to be ahead of the rest of the world for a long period of time. If we look at China there is negligible threat for India as the number of people who go to universities is six times higher in India.
