Who said law cannot be outsourced? In a latest development, one of the largest law firms of the world, Clifford Chance is moving a major portion of its administrative functions to India. Due to this the company would be able to save around $18 million every year.

Up till now companies were reluctant in outsourcing their functions due to the fear of the confidential information being stolen or misused. With changing times and requirements companies are opening satellite offices in order to service their global clients.

Richard McKenna, Chief administrative officer, White & Case states:

We do continue to look at outsourcing as a way to improve efficiencies and manage infrastructure costs, but it’s not a quick decision that we would make

Still a number of companies are playing safe and taking one step at a time. I think with confidence increasing with every step companies would eventually increase their outsourcing work.
