A survey by Economist Intelligence Unit and sponsored by Ariba, Inc. which questioned 180 executives come out with a finding which says almost 60% of all C-level executive say that their companies are in fact deploying outsourced (or “managed”) procurement services. And even if they are not doing it they are willing to consider them in the near future. They believe that use of managed procurement will only grow in 2006.





Some procurement service will be done in house and transfer the rest to third party providers. I am sure companies will keep more niche and core areas to them and transfer the general not so core stuff.




...the areas most likely to be outsourced to procurement services providers are such indirect expense categories as office supplies, travel, temporary labour, printing services and facilities management. Transaction processes (requisition, ordering, invoicing and payment) are also likely to be outsourced.
