Tokio Marine Brasil Seguradora S.A has entered into an IT infrastructure outsourcing contract with IBM worth $44-million for a period of ten years. The deals involves unification of datacenters, integration of services and technological updates for most of the hardware environment for supporting Tokio Marine’ strategic objectives.
Besides this IBM would be improving flexibility and swiftness in servicing Tokio Marine’s future requirements in co-ordination with the company’s growth plan. Under the contract helpdesk services, monitoring and operation of the datacenters, management, data communication and end user support has also been included.
This deal is expected to enable Tokio Marine Seguradora in focusing on its core business and achieving better long term costs benefits and higher availability.
