Indian IT firms are hiring like anything. Companies such as HCL, Infosys, Satyam, TCS and Wipro have employed a whopping 27,583 people during the third quarter of 2006. It seems that this trend is here to stay.
By the end of the third quarter, Infosys, Satyam, TCS and Wipro had employed 2, 37,016 IT professionals combined together. Infosys had stated that it would be employing 25,000 professionals during the year whereas TCS had plans for recruiting 30,500 professionals.
This points out to the fact that the Indian outsourcing industry is still going strong and would continue to dominate the outsourcing scene for a long time to come.
