Outsourcing is continuing with full force. Up till now China, Middle East and Malaysia were being touted as the next outsourcing hub but if current reports are to be believed then Philippines is a very possible contender for the outsourcing throne. India still regains the outsourcing throne and in a number of areas of outsourcing it is still unchallenged.
It is expected that a number of sectors of outsourcing are set to grow and Philippines could certainly benefit from it.
Nandan Nilekani, chief executive, Infosys, stated:
Some of the countries like the Philippines and Malaysia have done fairly well to leverage their unique skills and carved niches for themselves.
I think that India should do something to save its throne otherwise there is a chance that Philippines would topple it off its chair in the near future.
