Russia’s IT exports are expected to increase by eighty percent and reach US$1.8 billion by 2006. The IT market volume for 2006 is expected to be around $13-14 billion. In order to give a push to the Russian IT industry development, the ITC ministry has plans for a dedicated authority for development of IT exports.



The agency would be in charge of analyzing exporting potentials, providing marketing support and conducting PR activities. It was in March that the Russian prime minister signed the governmental order for launching the federal program for techno parks creations in order to concentrate IT companies.



The government is making all efforts to promote outsourcing in the country and is also offering tax incentives in order to give it a push. Certainly the government seems to have realized the potential of Russia in outsourcing.
