Gartner has predicted that there are tough times ahead for the BPO sector. It is expected that half of the companies involved in the BPO sector would be experiencing cost overruns and unacceptable delivery quality in the coming three years.
As per Lisa Stone, Research V.P., Gaertner:
It is clear that buyers across the market are experiencing consistent and pervasive hype concerning which processes and service providers can truly deliver on the promise of BPO.
In order to deal with this problem companies must set up an internal BPO strategy so that they could look beyond the hype created and determine their own requirements.
