A new law in the UK aims to regulate outsourcing in the IT sector and opposing this law Nasscom has pointed out that UK has taken its first step towards protecting the workers of a company.
As per President of National Association of Software and Service Companies Kiran Karnik:
The revision in the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations indicate first signs of protectionism taking root in the UK, which has so far been quite open to outsourcing.
Though the new law is not affecting the Indian BPO Companies, still the sudden move of the Government to control outsourcing interprets the future of outsourcing in the UK.
