As per a recent report, Indian Software vendors are racing to get hold of the $1bn contract of the American Express. As per available facts the latest player trying hard to get into the league is Wipro, as it has already got ABN Amro and Pearl Deals and now eyeing the big Bank of America.
As per Girish Paranjape, president, Finance Solutions-Wipro Technologies:
We are under-represented in the financial segment and have been catching up pretty fast. We have around 6,000 professionals in our division and are witnessing the growth trajectory. Sequentially, we grew by 14 per cent during Q4.
If Wipro gets this deal from the American Express there are no doubts of the company getting into the biggest league to improve its financial growth.
